The Story of Kiki's Ring- What began as a joke, has become a passion. It all started in March of 2002 as we vacationed with some friends in Key West, Florida. As with every trip I've taken to the Florida Keys, the tropical setting, the clear water, and the promise of great fishing intensified my desire to own a boat. This trip was different though; this time I was determined to actually purchase one upon my return home. Anyway, back to our story. While we, a group of vacationing friends, were eating breakfast in Key West, I announced that I was going to purchase a boat, and I already had a name for it. When asked, I jokingly replied "Kiki's Ring!" The name was in reference to my long-time girlfriend, Kiki, and her lack of an engagement ring. The implication was that if I spent my money on a boat, I couldn't buy Kiki a ring. Everyone had a good laugh (except Kiki of course), but she was a good sport regarding my poor attempt at

And so, in May of 2002, our new boat was delivered and the Kiki's Ring Fishing Team was born! As our skills improved, and our spirit of adventure intensified, we quickly out grew the first Kiki's Ring. So, and with a certain amount of sadness, we sold the first Kiki's Ring in October

The second Kiki's Ring was a 2004 Bluewater Sportfishing Boats 2350. Bluewater only builds semi-custom, factory-direct fishing boats, and Kiki's Ring was no exception! Rigged for offshore fishing, she is the perfect size vessel to tackle the open seas comfortably, but is easily trailerable to wherever the fish are biting.
Kiki and I received an offer from someone who wanted to buy our Bluewater 2350, and it wasn't even listed for sale! It was a coworker who wanted to buy her, so I knew she would be in good hands. With a small bit of hesitation, we sold the second Kiki's Ring in October of 2006. The good news is that we took delivery of a new boat in December of 2006! Kiki's Ring III is a 2007 Bluewater Sportfishing Boats 2550 powered with twin 200 hp Evinrude E-tecs. This boat is rigged with Bahamas trips in mind, twin engines, auto pilot, radar, etc. Click HERE to see the complete specifications for the new boat.
